My margarita mocktails are simple and delicious, with the true taste of a classic marg cocktail--no spirit or spirit alternative necessary. This recipe includes pitcher instructions and two ways to make it: frozen in the blender or shaken and served on the rocks. Either way, you're just a few easy ingredients and five minutes away from the best zero-proof mock-arita!

❤️ Why You'll Love this Recipe
Quick and Easy - You only need five minutes to craft this simple margarita mocktail recipe. And even though you'll feel like a certified mixologist after this, no fancy bartending techniques are needed! Just follow my step-by-step recipe and pro tips.
Authentic Margarita Flavor - This margarita mock tastes very similar to a traditional margarita: not too sweet, not too sour, with a lil' complexity. There's no sugary limeade or soda here. One sip and nobody can tell you this isn't a full-blown cocktail!
I love mixing up creative mocktails to keep things interesting with any alcohol, like my refreshing coconut water mocktails, red sangria mocktail, sparkling strawberry vanilla mocktails, ginger ale mocktail for digestion, and tart cherry juice mocktail for sleep!
What You'll Need for this Recipe

Lime Juice and Orange Juice take the place of mixers like orange liqueur and...lime juice in the OG recipe. Use fresh-squeezed juice, from concentrate, or a combination of both. Navel, mandarin, and Cara Cara oranges are all great picks. And key limes will give you the most traditional Mexican taste, but you'll need many more of them!
Agave Nectar adds sweetness as well as an element of agave flavor, which helps mimic the classic margarita, which uses agave-based spirit.
Tea adds a touch of herbal bitterness that takes the place of tequila or mezcal. I recommend freshly-brewed green tea, but you can also use white tea, bottled black tea from the grocery store, etc. Don't use teas with strong taste, like matcha or added flavor like earl grey.

Substitutions & Variations
Sweetener - If you don't have agave available, you can use simple syrup, maple syrup, honey syrup, or a zero-sugar option like liquid stevia or monk fruit sweetener.
Sparkling - Especially if you make these by the pitcher (instructions for that below), adding a topper of sparkling water makes them even more fun. Just add a splash of mineral water like Topo Chico or whichever brand you prefer.
Flavors - You can swap the orange juice with another juice to make this a flavored mock margarita. Strawberry, pineapple, mango, guava, passion fruit, watermelon, and coconut are all great ideas!
Rim - Use a Mexican seasoning salt like Tajín or Valentina or coarse salt or even sugar, depending on how you typically like your margaritas.
How to Make Non-Alcoholic Margarita Mocktails
Shaken Mocktail Margarita

- Step 1: Run the juicy part of a cut lime around the rim of a rocks glass then dip it into Tajin to coat.

- Step 2: Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
Pro Tip #1
If you don't have a jigger to measure out the liquid ingredients, you can use a shot glass, which holds the same volume as the larger end of a jigger.
Pro Tip #2
Want to make it spicy? Muddle one or two jalapeño pepper slices in the cocktail shaker before adding the other ingredients. Make sure to remove the seeds if you don't want it too spicy!

- Step 3: Shake the ingredients until chilled then strain into prepared glass over fresh ice.

- Step 4: Garnish with a lime slice and enjoy.
Frozen Margarita Mocktail Recipe

- Step 5: Run the juicy part of a cut lime around the rim of a rocks glass then dip it into Tajin to coat.

- Step 6: Add all the ingredients to a blender and pulse until frosty and smooth.

- Step 7: Pour the mix into prepared glass.

- Step 8: Garnish with a lime slice and enjoy.
