What You'll Need for this Recipe

Pomegranate Juice for deep, lush color and winter flavor. Use 100% pomegranate juice if you can or a pomegranate cranberry blend can also work.
Orange Juice either from concentrate or fresh squeezed. If you can find blood oranges, I highly recommend them or Cara Cara oranges for their sweet flavor and pinkish color.
Apple Cider Vinegar adds tanginess and helps balance out the sweetness of the fruit juices. I recommend using apple cider vinegar with the mother for the best taste + blood sugar benefit.

Substitutions & Variations
Ginger Beer is what I use here and it adds just the right balance of sweetness and gingery bite. As an alternative, you can use ginger ale for less ginger flavor or lemon-lime soda like Sprite or even sparkling water to cut down on added sugar.
Sweetener If you want to make your mocktails sweeter, add the plain sweetener of your choice, including a zero sugar option or one with a coordinating flavor like my honey ginger syrup or citrus simple syrup.
Add Alcohol if it's that kinda party! The flavor notes in this recipe will pair nicely with a wide variety of spirits or sparkling wines, from champagne to whiskey to tequila to cognac. Check out my pomegranate champagne cocktail for a similar option.
Garnishes The colors in this drink work for a variety of fall and winter holiday celebrations but there's always room for extra adornments if you want to go over the top. Add sprigs of fresh herbs like rosemary, mint or thyme, sparkling sugar rims or even edible glitter, if you like!
How to Make Pomegranate Punch Mocktails

- Step 1: Slice an orange and cut it into halves.

- Step 2: Add the orange slices to a pitcher, followed by ice.
Pro Tip #1
Layering the orange slices under the ice helps keep them dispersed throughout the pitcher instead of floating straight to the top. This is an optional step but I recommend it for aesthetic.
Pro Tip #2
If you're making this drink ahead of time, you can freeze the orange slices before adding them to the punch. This will help keep your punch cold without watering it down as much.

- Step 3: Pour in the pomegranate juice, orange, juice, ginger beer, and apple cider vinegar and stir until combined.

- Step 4: Serve over ice with pomegranate arils, orange slices, and grated nutmeg.
Pro Tip #3
Place an orange slice flat on the surface of the drink (the ice will help it float) then grate the nutmeg over top of the orange. This will give a burst of aroma and flavor with each sip.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! This pomegranate punch mocktail is a great make-ahead drink recipe. Mix up the juices and apple cider vinegar then chill it in the fridge (up to two weeks) until ready to use. Stir in the fruits and ginger beer just before serving or let all the flavors marinate together overnight like a pomegranate sangria mocktail.

How to Serve
Serve these mocktails with pomegranate juice super cold over fresh ice with floating fruits and a dusting of nutmeg. You can serve out of a pitcher, punch bowl, or beverage dispenser.
Use any kind of ice you like--crushed, cubed or even the giant ice cubes used in old fashioned cocktails. Make ice cubes with pomegranate arils inside for extra festive flair!

Pomegranate Mocktail Punch
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 orange
- ice

- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup pomegranate arils
- Nutmeg
Instructions
- Use knife and cutting board to cut orange into round slices then cut the slices into halves.
