Hi, I'm Jazzmine!
I started Dash of Jazz® in 2015 to share my easy recipes with friends and family spread across the country. Since then, it has become a digital cookbook for a community around the world! I focus on recipes that are quick, filled with flavor and culture, and fun to make.
WHAT YOU'LL FIND HERE
Dash of Jazz® is home to hundreds of original recipes developed by me, tested by my family and friends, and enjoyed by thousands of people like you every day. I've been a home cook for over 20 years and find lots inspiration from my Black American and Nigerian cultures and often remix family favorites shared with me by my late maternal grandmother or my aunties on both sides.
So you'll find popular Nigerian recipes like Seafood Okro Soup as well as classic Soul Food cuisine like Peach Cobbler and Sweet Potato Pie.
You'll also find plenty of quick recipes that reflect my busy lifestyle. Mini Breakfast Taco Cups and Suya Street Tacos are fan favorites along with this Easy Sweet Cherry Jam.
And since being diagnosed with PCOS in 2020, I've been on a functional nutrition journey, which has inspired a whole library of hormone healthy recipes like Greek Yogurt Fruit Bowls, Mint Matcha Lattes, and Sweet Potato Shepherd's Pie.
