Reimagined mimosa recipe with orange, bubbles, tequila, and elderflower. Make it with four easy ingredients in just five minutes!
At first glance, these mimosas may look regular, unsuspecting, and run-of-the-mill but one sip will reveal that there's a little something extra hiding in there. And. It's. Lit. Let's get into it!

What does it taste like?
You'll taste the familiar citrus flavor and effervescence of a classic mimosa. Elderflower adds sweet floral fruity notes similar to lychee or pear. And you'll pick up some earthiness from the tequila.

What You'll Need for this Recipe
Orange Juice is the main liquid here. You can use fresh-squeezed or store bought OJ from concentrate. I recommend juicing Cara Cara oranges for their sweet, delicate flavor. It plays nicely with the other ingredients.
Champagne supplies the bubbles. Feel free to use Cava or Prosecco, depending on what's available and accessible to you.
Tequila elevates the alcohol content and makes this the perfect mimosa recipe for a turn up. Use whichever tequila you would typically drink or serve.
Elderflower Liqueur should not be skipped here. It really rounds out this easy unique mimosa recipe. I use St. Germain here but you can grab whichever brand you prefer.

Tips & Tools
Grab a jigger and bar spoon for this recipe. Don't have these tools? Use a shot glass and butter knife (gently) instead. If you're juicing fresh oranges, you'll also need a cutting board and a sharp knife.
Is this a Mexican mimosa? Some refer to a tequila mimosa as the Mexican mimosa, though there's no official recipe for it.

How to Serve Mimosas at a Party
Elderflower tequila mimosas are always a hit at brunch parties. Be careful because they're sneaky. Ask me how I know!
Make these into big batch mimosas by combining 1 cup tequila, 2 cups elderflower liqueur, and four cups orange juice with one bottle of champagne.
To prep for a crowd, I recommend pre-mixing the orange juice, tequila, and elderflower liqueur in a pitcher and setting that out with bottles of chilled champagne. This way, the bubbles don't fall flat and everyone can self-serve.
