What You'll Need for this Recipe
This is a cherry berry fruit salad with peaches and plums, too--all the hits! Here are the ingredients to grab on your next summer grocery run.
Cherries add beautiful deep red color and their signature flavor. I like to use dark sweet cherries in this recipe but you can also use Rainier or sour cherries, if you like. Either way, use fresh not frozen!
Blueberries are lightly sweet and a nice change of texture from the firmer stone fruits. Again, fresh blueberries are best here.
Strawberries add tanginess to the mix. Pick ripe, plump strawberries that are bright red.
Peaches should be ripe and firm with a little bit of give when squeezed. That's how you know they're juicy! If you can't find peaches, nectarines will also work.
Plums are one of my top picks during the summer. You can use any of their relatives like apriums, pluots, or plumcots, if plums aren't available.

Tips & Tools
Grab a sharp knife and cutting board to prep all the fruit. You'll also need a cherry pitter for the cherries. Lastly, a small bowl and spoon to mix up the dressing. More on that below.
How long does this fruit salad last? This stone fruit & summer berry salad keeps in the refrigerator for about four days so you can make it ahead, if needed. Just reserve the dressing until it's time to serve.
Making Mint Dressing for Fruit Salad
The fruit salad dressing ingredients are simple. I like a light and easy fruit salad dressing so that the fruits can shine.
Lime Juice adds a bit of acidity and sour tang to counter all the natural sweetness. It also thins out the honey so that the dressing isn't sticky. Use fresh lime juice, if possible. Otherwise, concentrated will work.
Mint Leaves add a refreshing flavor note and can sweeten up your breath. We love multitasking ingredients here.
Honey enhances the natural sweet flavor of fruit salad but we aren't using too much. Feel free to substitute with maple syrup or the sweetener of your choosing if you want to make this recipe vegan. Or leave it out if you don't want a sweet dressing for fruit salads.
How to Serve Fruit Salad
This is the perfect summery fruit salad recipe for cookouts so add it to your summer barbecue menu. I also enjoy this stone fruits salad as a snack on a regular day. Make it for your next party even if it's a party of one!
And if you're curious about how to make a summer fruit salad, it could not be any easier. Toss all of the prepped fruits together then pour the honey, lime & mint dressing over top and toss again until all the fruits are coated. See? Easy!
I know you'll love this luxurious fruit salad recipe and encourage you to try it while summer fruit is at its best. Don't let it pass you by. And sharing is carin,g so be sure to pin this recipe to Pinterest. Thanks for reading!

I see we make fruit salad the same way. To me, fresh mint makes such a huge difference although sometimes I use basil. Regardless, we need to find the perseverance to enjoy the simple things in life like this fruit salad despite the chaos and tragedy happening around us.

This looks amazing! Instead of honey we used raw cane sugar liquid. It's my guilty pleasure! This is so great for entertaining and also for a healthy movie night with a glass of moscato.
