❤️ Why You'll Love this Recipe
Simple to Make - Just a few ingredients and no special technique needed. And despite its simplicity, this is definitely a sophisticated "it girl" drink to try at home--you will make you feel like you're sipping on a breezy day perched at a table in Positano. Talk to me nice!
Fantastic Flavor - So what does it even taste like? Well, nutty-like pistachio with a hint of almond. There are also bright notes of orange and floral/herby-ness from the botanical blend of gin that all complement the pistachio beautifully-truly a bouquet of flavor!
This drink is a great primer on excellent homemade martinis and I have a full library for you step into, when you're ready: creamy chai martini, spiced hibiscus martini, southern sweet tea martini, raspberry Chambord martini, and zesty pickle martini, just to name a few.
What You'll Need for this Recipe

Gin of any brand will work. I prefer Still Austin, Hendrick's or Citadelle gin but do you.
Pistachio Syrup provides the pistachio flavor you came for plus sweetness without pistachio liqueur but don't worry this drink is not overly sweet thanks to the rest of the ingredient list! I recommend Monin pistachio syrup, which is also what I use in my pistachio matcha lattes.
Amaretto Liqueur also adds a touch of sweetness but mostly true almond flavor. Make it with Disaronno or use any brand you like. Frangelico can also work.
Orange Juice from fresh squeezed oranges is a must here--I like Cara Cara orange best. You can use concentrated OJ but it won't quite hit the same.

Substitutions & Variations
Liquor - I make this easy pistachio flavored martini with gin but you can do a pistachio vodka martini, if you like.
Liqueur - Substitute the amaretto with orgeat syrup if you want the flavor without adding more alcohol.
Milk - I use almond milk in this recipe to provide a creamy texture and add more subtle nutty flavor but feel free to use whichever kind of milk you like, dairy or plant-based, except for buttermilk.
How to Make the Best Pistachio Martini

Step One: Place a martini or coupe glass in the fridge to chill.

Step Two: Add liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker over ice.
Pro Tip #1: Chilling a martini glass is key to the signature frosty look and an easy way to elevate your homemade cocktails!

Step Three: Shake the ingredients until chilled and combined then strain into the prepared glass.

Step Four: Float a single pistachio on top of the cocktail for garnish.
Pro Tip #2: Adding milk to the mix provides smooth silky texture and creates a layer of foam on top of the pistachio-tini, which allows the pistachio to float.
Frequently Asked Questions
Combine six ounces gin, six ounces almond milk, four ounces pistachio syrup, three ounces orange juice, and two ounces amaretto liqueur over ice then strain into chilled glasses. This pitcher pistachio martini recipe makes four servings. And you can adjust the settings in my recipe card below to create different amounts if you want to make more!
Yes! Simply divide the liquid evenly between three chilled shot glasses.
How to Serve
The flavor is best at ice cold temperature so be sure to serve this cocktail promptly! I like to float a salted pistachio on top of the finished drink as a visual riff on the espresso martini. But you can also grate some orange zest over top or just drink it as it.
Serving in a martini glass or coupe glass is non-negotiable, though. Treat yourself!
