Temperatures are up into triple digits around here so, lately, I've been thinking about creative ways to keep cool. Of course, I landed on one that involves food and am sharing it with y'all today: frozen fruit coolers. These are simple to prepare and easy to keep on hand throughout the summer. Simply cut up your favorite fruits and freeze them to add to the drinks of your choice later. The benefits of this are that you add the flavor and nutrition of fresh fruit and keep your drinks cold at the same time. Frozen fruit coolers are a great way to use up large fruits like watermelon before they go bad and are perfect for entertaining. Check out the tutorial below for a few different ways to serve them!
How to Make Frozen Fruit Coolers
- Wash fruit.
- Prep fruit by cutting into chunks or using a melon baller.
- Place on skewers (optional).
- Freeze for a few hours.
- Add to the drink of your choice. I used Sprite®.
I made these coolers with watermelon because it's the quintessential summer fruit. It goes so well with the flavors of Sprite and I found a deal on both when shopping at Kroger last week (In case you're new around here, I'm a bargain shopper π ). I hope this helps you stay cool this summer. You can find more refreshing ideas here. And, if you have any tips, please share them below. Thanks for reading!

Ooh! 1) I love watermelon. 2) I love Sprite. 3) I love lemonade. I will definitely be trying the skewers in a drink. Perhaps I can do it with a spiked lemonade. My mouth is watering already lol.
