This is a cherry berry fruit salad with peaches and plums, too--all the hits! Here are the ingredients to grab on your next summer grocery run.
Cherries add beautiful deep red color and their signature flavor. I like to use dark sweet cherries in this recipe but you can also use Rainier or sour cherries, if you like. Either way, use fresh not frozen!
Blueberries are lightly sweet and a nice change of texture from the firmer stone fruits. Again, fresh blueberries are best here.
Strawberries add tanginess to the mix. Pick ripe, plump strawberries that are bright red.
Peaches should be ripe and firm with a little bit of give when squeezed. That's how you know they're juicy! If you can't find peaches, nectarines will also work.
Plums are one of my top picks during the summer. You can use any of their relatives like apriums, pluots, or plumcots, if plums aren't available.

Summer Stone Fruit Berry Salad with Mint Lime Dressing
Equipment
- 1 knife
Ingredients
For the Fruit Salad
- 3 peaches
- 3 plums
- ¼ pound cherries
- ½ pint strawberries
- 10 ounces blueberries
For the Fruit Salad Dressing
- 2 tablespoons raw honey
- 3 limes
- 12-15 mint leaves
Instructions
- Wash and prepare the fruit: Cut peaches and plums into one-inch pieces. Pit cherries and cut into halves. Hull and slice strawberries.
- Add all fruit to a large bowl. Set aside.
- Finely chop mint leaves. Add to a small bowl with honey and lime juice.
- Stir vigorously to combine all ingredients until the consistency is thin enough to swirl.
- Pour dressing over mixed fruit and toss until fruit is evenly coated.
