I’ve been meal prepping baked oatmeal for the last seven years so that I can enjoy warm, filling oatmeal on busy mornings without spending more than a minute reheating them. And it’s portable! Baked oatmeal in any form is a major flex for my meal prep routine. As you might imagine, after making baked oatmeal for such a long time I have developed several flavor variations over the years. Now they’re all in one spot for you to easily peruse when planning meals for the week. Check out all the flavorful baked oatmeal recipes below and let me know if there are any others you’d like to see in the comments.
What is Baked Oatmeal?
Baked oatmeal typically consists of oats (I always recommend rolled or old fashioned oats), mix-ins like nuts, seeds, and fruits, binding ingredients (milk, fruit purees, nut butters, etc.), and flavorings such as spices and sweeteners. All of these ingredients are combined and baked in a dish or muffin tin. The result is oatmeal you can eat on the go! Not to mention that you can meal prep oatmeal for the whole week in just 30 minutes. I typically make baked oatmeal in two forms: baked oatmeal bars and healthy oatmeal cups. Actually, both versions are healthy. Wondering what to put into your baked oatmeal? Here are a few suggestions for flavorful baked oatmeal.
