Is it hot where you are? Because it has been positively scorching here in Houston. This past weekend, I felt personally victimized by the weather. And it's only going to get hotter from here. Whew, chile! I chatted with y'all a bit on Instagram about all the blog topics I want to write about during the month of June and thought that breaking down how to make a refreshing glass of iced tea would be the perfect place to start. I've partnered with Bigelow to create a flavorful ginger peach mint iced tea in just five minutes. You can hover over the photo below for details on the products I used and click to purchase online. š
As a native Texan, I can tell you that we take sweet tea seriously in The South. It's available just about anywhere (though not all teas are created equal) but, with the aforementioned heat, I'm all about staying in and being spoiled by my AC unit. So having an at-home sweet tea recipe in my arsenal is a must. I'm actually partial to flavored teas and keep a stash of Bigelow Mint Medley in my pantry for when I want a warm mug of tea. To make this peach ginger mint iced tea, I combined one bag of Mint Medley with one bag of Ginger Peach Turmeric in a bit of hot water and let it steep for a few minutes. The smell is amazing, by the way.
From there, just stir in sugar or honey to your preference then add cold water and pour over ice. If you're feeling fancy, add a slice of lemon and/or sprig of mint for garnish. Then go forth and live your best life. And by best life I mean laid up on the couch with the AC blasting, peach ginger mint iced tea in hand, and a full Netflix queue. You deserve! Y'all likely know that tea is an important part of my routine (not a coffee drinker at all) so I'm kind of picky about it. Bigelow is THE tea in my house and I'm excited for the opportunity to share a different way to enjoy it.
In case ginger, peach, and mint flavors aren't your thing or you just want to switch it up, Bigelow has countless flavors you can mix and match to your heart's content. That's why I keep it hand as my #1 choice of tea. Check out the expansive flavor selection for yourself at Walmart or online. If you have any creative iced tea combination ideas, let me know below. Thank you so much for reading!
