Tropical twist on the refreshing Cuban mojito drink with hibiscus flower syrup
Print Recipe
- 3 mint leaves
- ½ ounce hibiscus syrup
- ice
- 2 ounces rum
- ¾ ounce lime juice from about one lime
- club soda
Add mint leaves and hibiscus syrup to glass and press together with a muddler to express the mint oils and combine the flavors.
Fill glass halfway with ice then pour in rum, lime juice, and club soda. Stir gently until combined.
Garnish with mint bouquet, if desired, and serve immediately. Enjoy responsibly!
Preparation
Because of the bubbles in the club soda, I don't recommend prepping a hibiscus mojito in advance. It only takes about three minutes to put together so it's easy to enjoy on demand.
To make a fishbowl or pitcher hibiscus mojitos, add 12 mint leaves and two ounces of hibiscus syrup to pitcher then muddle together. Fill ⅓ full with ice then pour in six ounces rum, three ounces lime juice, and top up with club soda. Stir and serve cold. Makes four servings.
