Ingredients

  • ice
  • 1 ½ ounce gin
  • 1 ½ ounce peach syrup
  • ¾ ounce lemon juice
  • ½ ounce peach schnapps or peach liqueur
  • 1 slice fresh peach optional garnish

Instructions

  • Place coupe glass into refrigerator or freezer to chill.
  • Fill cocktail shaker halfway with ice then pour in gin, peach syrup, lemon juice, and peach schnapps.
  • Cover the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for until chilled to the touch (about eight seconds).
  • Strain drink into chilled glass then garnish with a slice of peach, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy responsibly!

Notes

Making the Peach Syrup
  1. Add two sliced peaches, 1 split vanilla bean, ½ inch of fresh ginger, one cinnamon stick, ¼ teaspoon nutmeg, one cup brown sugar, and one cup water to a small saucepan over medium heat and stir until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Bring syrup to a boil then remove from heat and mash and muddle the peaches to express their juices.
  3. Cool the syrup completely before using. Makes about 14 servings.
Preparation
Like most martinis, this one makes a great freezer door cocktail you can make a few days in advance then store. Just give it another shake before serving and reserve any garnishes until you're ready to drink.
Make this drink into peach drop martini shots by dividing the cocktail between three chilled shot glasses.
To large batch this peach ginger martini for a crowd, shake up six ounces gin, six ounces peach syrup, three ounces lemon juice, and two ounces peach schnapps over ice then strain into a pitcher. Serves four.
