Heat apple cider and cinnamon sticks until simmering either on stove top (about 4 minutes) or in the microwave (about 2 minutes). Do not bring to a boil.
Remove cider from heat and add whiskey, honey, and lemon juice. Stir until dissolved.
Divide liquid between two heat-safe mugs and garnish with lemon slices. Enjoy carefully and drink responsibly!

SubstitutionsWhiskey of any kind will work, though I love a bourbon apple cider hot toddy, personally. The best whiskey for a hot toddy is your favorite whiskey but if you need recommendations, try Uncle Nearest 1856, Still ATX Straight Bourbon, or Bulleit!If you don't have fresh lemon on hand, use about 1 ½ ounce of bottled lemon juice or fresh orange juice instead.
