The perfect sweet thing to transition from summer to fall: fresh or frozen cherries and apples combine in your slow cooker for an easy set-it-and-forget-it dessert.
Pit and halve cherries. Peel and chop apples into one-inch pieces.
Add cherries, apples, sugar, flour, and lemon juice to crock of slow cooker and mix until fruit is evenly coated.
Add oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, sea salt, and melted butter to a bowl and stir until uniform.
Spoon oat mixture over top of fruit filling in crock pot.
Place two layers of paper towel on top of oat topping then cover with slow cooker lid.
Set to high and cook for about fours or until filling is thickened and bubbly and topping is golden brown and crisp.
