Instructions

To Make a Hot Turmeric Matcha Latte

  • Dissolve matcha powder, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and honey in boiling water with a bamboo whisk or frothing wand.
  • Heat six ounces milk to steaming (not boiling) then carefully swirl a frothing wand just below the surface of the milk to create foam.
  • Pour prepared turmeric matcha mix and steamed milk into a mug and serve warm.

To Make an Iced Turmeric Matcha Latte

  • Add matcha powder, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, honey, and eight ounces milk to blender and pulse until uniform and foamy (about one minute).
  • Pour into a glass over ice and serve cold.

Notes

Preparation
You can make this drink up to three days ahead of time and store in the fridge. Note that some separation is likely so be sure to stir it back up before drinking.
Modifications
Drink it unsweetened, make it with honey or use another sweetener like maple syrup, agave nectar or coconut sugar to make it vegan. I love ginger-infused honey or my turmeric honey syrup in this recipe for extra flavor and benefits!
