Notes
PreparationThis drink gets better the longer you let it sit. It will taste good and be fully chilled after about two hours, but even better if you can let it chill overnight!ModificationsI use tart Granny Smith apples and navel oranges in this drink, per the classic recipe, but you can switch it up with other apple varieties and different kinds of citrus. You can also add fresh grapes, pomegranate arils--whatever you like! This recipe is finished with a splash of ginger beer, but that doesn't add a lot of effervescence. If you want a truly sparkling sangria mocktail recipe, you can add more ginger beer or float some sparkling grape juice just before serving.StorageThese drinks will keep for up to five days in the fridge. I recommend sealing the pitcher to help keep the fruit from becoming mushy and prevent other fridge flavors from leaching into the drink.
