Instructions

  • Add eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, cream cheese, and relish to a food processor and pulse until mixture starts to look smooth, pausing to scrape sides of bowl with spatula, as necessary.
    12 hard-boiled eggs, ½ cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons mustard, 4 ounces cream cheese, 3 tablespoons pickle relish
  • Add hot sauce, salt, and pepper to mixture, to taste, then continue processing until smooth and uniform. Taste test and adjust flavor, if needed.

  • Convey dip into a serving bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and chill if not serving immediately.
  • Sprinkle cayenne pepper and paprika over top of dip when ready to serve. Slice Chive into small pieces and sprinkle over to garnish.

Notes

Preparation
You can make deviled eggs dip up to two days ahead of time. Store it in the refrigerator.
Variations
Hot Sauce - Use any hot sauce brand you like, including Louisiana, Tabasco, and Crystal or even Sriracha.
Mustard - I like Creole brown mustard in this recipe but you can use yellow mustard, dijon, or even honey mustard if you like it sweeter.
Spices - We like smoky and spicy so that's the spice combination I use here but you can add whatever you like. Garlic and onion powder are great additions or you can use mixes like ranch seasoning, French onion soup mix, or Cajun spice blend like Zatarain's.
Storage
Store the dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Keeps for up to two days. Reserve garnishes until ready to serve. Do not freeze.
Use extra dip as a sandwich spread! The texture is similar to hummus and it easily adds multiple layers of flavor to a plain ol' turkey sandwich or even a wrap or burger.
