Equipment

  • 1 measuring spoon
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 rocks glass

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Fill a rocks glass halfway with ice then add honey syrup to glass.
  • Fill glass with sparkling water and gently stir to combine.
  • Garnish mocktail with a stem of fresh mint, if desired.

Notes

To Make the Ginger Turmeric Honey Syrup
  1. Add ginger, turmeric, lemon juice, clove, honey, and water to a small saucepan over medium high heat. Stir to combine.
  2. Bring mixture to a boil then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes. Liquid should be reduced, darkened, and slightly thickened. Strain out solids and cool before using.
Preparation
I don't recommend making this mocktail in advance because the bubbles will fall flat. You can, however, make the turmeric ginger syrup in advance.
Modifications
Cayenne pepper is a great addition for a subtle kick of heat that balances the sweet, sour, and fresh flavors.
