Apple Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal

  • 4 cups rolled oats (not quick oats)
  • ¾ cup apple chips broken into pieces
  • 1 ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 ⅔ cup milk at room temperature
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Thoroughly mix together rolled oats, apple chips, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sea salt in a large bowl.

  2. In a smaller bowl, mix together remaining ingredients until uniform

  3. Add wet mixture to dry mixture and stir until no dry "pockets" remain. Spread mixture into a baking pan. (9" by 9" or 13" x 9")

  4. Bake for about 25 minutes or until top of oatmeal is firm when pressing down on it with your fingers (but not hardened). Cool completely before cutting into squares.
