  • 2 ounces gin
  • champagne chilled
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 ounce hibiscus syrup
  • 1 hibiscus flower in syrup
  • lemon peel optional garnish
  • sanding sugar optional garnish


  1. (Optional step: run a wedge of lemon around rim of glass then dip rim into sanding sugar to garnish) Place a single hibiscus flower in the bottom of a champagne flute or champagne cocktail glass.
  2. Add gin, lemon juice, and hibiscus syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for about 15 seconds.
  3. Pour mixture into glass then top up with champagne and gently stir. Garnish with lemon peel, if desired.
