Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • ½ cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried onion
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • teaspoon powdered cayenne
  • cup honey
  • ¼ cup hot sauce I used Nando's Peri Peri Extra Hot

Instructions

  • Mix breadcrumbs, onion, black pepper, sea salt, egg, parsley, and one clove of garlic in a bowl.
  • Add in ground turkey and incorporate with your hands.
  • Form mixture into two-inch (about golf ball-sized) balls and place in crock.
  • In another bowl, mix together hot sauce, honey, brown sugar, cayenne, and the other clove of garlic.
  • Pour sauce over meatballs and cook on high for two to four hours. My crockpot cooks these to perfection in about 2.5 hours but yours may be different so check on them in between chores (or naps).
