Spiced Peanut Butter Cookies

Spiced peanut butter cookies are classics with a twist of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and clove.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cinnamon peanut butter or 1/2 cup peanut butter plus 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoons ground clove
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Mix together butter, peanut butter, egg, and brown sugar.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients.
  3. Fold wet into dry to form dough. Cover and chill for at least an hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough into half-dollar-sized balls and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment or wax paper.
  5. Press down on balls with a fork to make a criss-cross pattern. Bake for about ten minutes.
