This spicy love potion was a spur-of-the-moment concoction. When testing it I played with the proportions just a couple of times before landing on what you'll see below. The result looks and tastes slightly like a red candy heart even though there's no cinnamon in it. You can thank the bite of the ginger beer and the bright red color of the grenadine for that. If you imagined a Shirley Temple and a Moscow Mule choosing each other as Valentines you would be in the right neighborhood. It's fizzy, fun, and not too girly. V-Day is just around the corner, y'all. February 14th is also Singles Awareness Day.
Whichever you choose to observe, you'll probably celebrate with some libations. I will be a bridesmaid in my high school best friend's wedding on Valentine's Day, celebrating their love with an open bar friends and family. π You can quickly (as in, one minute!) whip this spicy love potion up for yourself, significant other, and/or Galentine's by just multiplying the proportions according the number of servings you'll need. The recipe as is doesn't make for a super strong drink and I [of course] encourage responsible consumption of this love potion. Translation: do not blame me if you call up your ex or spend the night scrolling through old text conversations. π
How are you celebrating Valentine's this year? Thanks for reading!
