Pomegranate Champagne Cocktail

*The subject of this post is intended for readers 21 years and older.

I have one single, solitary reality TV guilty pleasure: The Real Housewives of whatever-city-is-currently-featured. Since it’s a guilty pleasure, I try to avoid getting sucked in. Nowadays, a couple of episodes per season is usually what I can make peace with. When I used to fully engage in each franchise, I picked up some gems. Who could forget when Nene Leakes (RHOA) screamed “I am very rich, b***h!” or when Theresa Guidice (RHONJ) flipped a table? One slightly less harmful moment ingrained into my memory is Heather Dubrow’s (RHOC) almost excessive use of the term “champs” to describe champagne. It stuck with me. As a millennial, I am no stranger to abbreviations, also known as abbrevs, to the cool kids. Let me rein this ramble in because it is relevant to this post. I promise. The drink featured here is in honor of the upcoming New Year’s Eve holiday. It is made of champs and 🙂 pomegranate (or pom) juice. The champagne can be replaced with seltzer water or soda for those who turn up sans alcohol. This is perfect for my family as New Year’s Eve is also my parents’ wedding anniversary. Not everyone in my family drinks so we can easily celebrate by cutting the champagne for some. Just a few ingredients and a couple of minutes are all you need to create this glam-looking cocktail. I use my current favorite semi-sweet from Saint-Hilaire, which is pronounced sahn ill-air but looks like Kanye West’s son’s name plus yet another abbreviation for hilarious.

P.S. Please, don’t abbreviate the word hilarious. In my opinion, that is just taking it too far.

What is your reality TV guilty pleasure? Let me know below. Thanks for reading!
