I love a good French 75 cocktail. It’s the one thing I did not get to enjoy during my trip to New Orleans earlier this year and I so regret that. I decided to do my own little spin on this classic drink by creating the hibiscus french 75 cocktail. It’s simple, pretty, and, of course, delicious. Don’t shy away from this one because of its fancy appearance! There are just a few required ingredients and three easy steps to make it. If you’re serving this to guests at a New Year’s Eve party, you can prep the glasses beforehand and just add champagne as folks arrive or even let them pour up themselves.
This preserves the bubbles as well as your sanity intact once the party starts. I love this recipe so much that I’m giving away a jar of wild hibiscus flowers so one of you can make a hibiscus French 75 cocktail (or two!) for NYE, too. If I could send liquor though the mail, I’d do that, too, but this will get you started. 🙂 Check out the recipe below, as well as three easy ways to step up your next glass of champagne, and a few more bubbly drink ideas then head to my Instagram later today to enter the giveaway! Unfortunately, only U.S.-based readers are eligible for this giveaway so that I can ensure the package reaches the winner in time for NYE.
3 Ways to Elevate a Glass of Champagne
- Throw in a stick of rock candy like Alana Frailey did here.
- Add edible glitter like Elle Talk did here.
- A simple sugar rim like the one I did last year’s NYE cocktail.
