Unless you’re new around here, you may have noticed that some of my posts indicate participation in a roundup of recipes called “Our Growing Edge”. This is a collective I participate in most months. Each month is hosted by a different cook, baker, or foodie from around the world and themed to challenge us to try new things with food. This past December it was my turn to host and “Nostalgia” is the theme I landed on. I charged the bloggers involved to submit creations using traditional ingredients from their childhood, make something old in a new way, or just present something that reminds them of days past–particularly holi-days. 🙂 Below are the submissions, 20 in total. These dishes span continents, cultures, and traditions and the photos are quite beautiful. I hope you will give them a gander and maybe learn something new.
