Yep, another recipe featuring praline sauce. In my defense, this idea was sparked by someone else. I made a batch of the sauce to drizzle over waffles at brunch a couple of months ago and one of my friends poured it over his biscuits. Game. Changed. I decided to take it one step further but the result is not complicated by any means. This Apple Praline Biscuit Bake is a simple, all-in-one dish to incorporate at a breakfast or brunch. It also makes a good dessert and keeps well in the fridge if you somehow end up with leftovers (not likely).
I served this at Mother’s Day brunch awhile back and it was a big hit. I mean, there wasn’t even a crumb left behind! Even better, it’s extremely easy with just three components: praline sauce + caramelized apples + canned biscuits. And before y’all read me for using canned biscuits, I KNOW that I usually preach more along the all-natural, homemade route. The thing is, I haven’t perfected my scratch biscuit recipe yet and had a lot of people to cook for. So, I followed one of the rules from last year’s entertaining tips post, which is to make what you can and buy the rest! If you have about 30 minutes, you can make this and it’s a good recipe to have in your arsenal because you can whip it out year round and just change out the fruit. Praline sauce is always in season, though. 🙂 I plan to recreate this with other fruits such as peaches and pears as the seasons change. If you want to have this for dessert, I recommend adding a scoop of ice cream just so that you don’t get confused and think it’s breakfast time or anything. 🙂 And if you’re like me and my friends and can’t get enough praline sauce, check out the recipes below.
